It features a reliable, low-maintenance internal drivetrain that reduces wear and provides efficient shifting with no gear overlap and a wide gear range. This hub is disc brake compatible and requires a Rohloff-specific 4-bolt rotor (sold separately).

The hub includes a 14-speed twist shifter, a 16-tooth cog, and cables with housing. It has a quick-release 135mm rear axle spacing with a hollow axle designed for vertical dropouts. The hub has 36 spoke holes and J-bend spokes. It is meant to be laced only 1x or 2x cross to avoid premature hub flange damage; lacing 3x cross is not recommended and voids the warranty.

Note that this CC model does not include a chain tensioner.
